これはBABYMETALの公式ファンクラブ「THE ONE」の2023年仕様のTシャツです。
2023年仕様のTシャツには二種類あり、これは安い方ですが、それでも5,500円です。

自分はBABYMETALのファンクラブ会員になりたかったわけでもないのですが、
ある商品を購入するにはファンクラブに登録しないと注文できない仕組み
でしたので、仕方なくこのTシャツを買い、ファンクラブ会員となりました。

そんなわけで、このTシャツは、ある意味どうでも良い買い物だったわけです。
しかし、Tシャツの品質も印刷の品質も、かろうじて「可」かなという水準です。

こういう類の商品とは、得てして、こういうものなのでしょうか。
例えばユニクロなら1,500円も出せば遥かに高品質なTシャツが買えます。

I bought it, not because I wanted to,
but it was required in order to register
as a member of the official fan club.

The T-shirt is priced at
5,500 JPY, or 42 USD.

I was not really interested in becoming
a member of the official fan club, but
it was required in order to order
another merchandise which
I wanted to buy.

I do not know how the photos look on
your device, but the quality of the
T-shirt, and of the print are
less than mediocre.

By the way, the photos were shot
and developed with care.

自分が購入したかった商品とは、BABYMETALのBlu-ray三枚組
「TRILOGY - METAL RESISTANCE EPISODE III -
APOCALYPSE」です。

この商品は何故か一般には売られておらず、例えばアマゾンなんかでは買えません。
BABYMETALの所属するAMUSEの運営する「A!SMART」という公式ショップで、
公式ファンクラブに登録して初めて注文できる仕組みになっています。

「TRILOGY - METAL RESISTANCE EPISODE III -
APOCALYPSE」は上記の通りBlu-ray三枚組の商品で、
これ自体16,500円しますが、事前に5,500円のTシャツを
購入しなければならないので22,000円、さらに送料がそれぞれ
220円かかるので、総合計22,440円の買い物ということになります。

The merchandise I really wanted
to purchase is called "TRILOGY -
METAL RESISTANCE EPISODE III -
APOCALYPSE".
It is a set of three blu-ray discs,
of their three live shows in 2015;
their golden era.

The first disc is the live show
at Saitama Super Arena.
The second disc is the live show
at Makuhari Messe.
The third disc is the live show
at Yokohama Arena.

I knew that every one of them is great,
because I had seen some clips from
those shows on YouTube.

This set of blu-rays is priced
at 16,500 JPY, or 125 USD.
It is not cheap, yet reasonable,
considering that it is a set
of three blu-ray discs.

However, the problem is that,
it is not sold everywhere, but only
at "A!SMART": the official
goods shop by "AMUSE":
the talent agency to which
the BABYMETAL belongs.

Furthermore, you have to be
registered as a member of the
official fan club in order to place
an order for this merchandise.

This is the reason for which
I had to buy the T-shirt.

First, you place an order for
the T-shirt.
Within half an hour, you will receive an
"access code", with which you
can register for the fan club.
Then, you can place an order for
the set of blu-rays "TRILOGY".

Each order needs a shipping fee, and the
total cost was 22,440 JPY, or 170 USD.
This is when shipped inside Japan.
I do not know how much the shipping
fees are for foreign countries.

実は、これでも状況はマシになった方で、昨年(2022)はBABYMETALの公式ファンクラブに
登録するには「BLACK BOX」という商品を買わねばならず、それは15,000円もしました。
16,500円の商品を買うのに別途15,000円の支出を求められるという話だったのです。

「BLACK BOX」には「DIGITAL GALLERY」への「ACCESS CODE」が含まれていました。
「DIGITAL GALLERY」が15,000円の価値のあるものだったのか、自分には分かりません。
自分は2016年頃までのBABYMETALにしか興味が無かったので、
「BLACK BOX」に15,000円を出す気にはなれませんでした。

今年(2023)の四月から仕切り直しとなった公式ファンクラブへの登録条件が
5,500円のTシャツに変わったので、それならと購入することにしたわけです。

I have to be glad still, because
last year, in 2022, you had to buy
a merchandise called BLACK BOX
in order to register for the fan club,
and the "BLACK BOX" was priced
at 15,000 JPY, or 113 USD.
Now, in 2023, it is the T-shirt,
which costs only one third.

I do not know why the "TRILOGY -
METAL RESISTANCE EPISODE III -
APOCALYPSE" is not sold as
a normal merchandise which
anyone can buy anywhere.
It is really a shame because it is
the best blu-ray of BABYMETAL.

Did spending 22,440 JPY,
or 170 USD, worth it?
Yes, and I recommend it to
everyone who is fascinated by
the BABYMETAL of that era.

「TRILOGY - METAL RESISTANCE EPISODE III -
APOCALYPSE」には
2015年に催された三つの公演が収録されています。

さいたまスーパーアリーナで催された「BABYMETALLEGEND 2015 〜新春キツネ祭り〜」、
幕張メッセで催された「BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2015 〜巨大天下一メタル武道会〜」、
横浜アリーナで催された「THE FINAL CHAPTER OF TRILOGY - ACT-II」」です。

YouTubeで様々な動画を見て、2015年のBABYMETALが最も輝いていると思いました。
22,440円の出費、特にTシャツ分の出費には納得のいかない部分もありますが、
少なくともこのBlu-rayを手に入れられたことは、とても良かったと思います。
